Department: Department of Electric Power Engineering
Aim: To learn the student to build models of and make simulations on electric power systems whith the aim to clarify stability problems. The basis is the mostly theoretical knowledge about electric power components and their stability problems (course 53237). Focus is concentrated on clarifying the parameters which has significant influence on the dynamic behaviour.
Contents: Models of complete power systems with generators incl. control equipment, transformers, transmission lines and loads are builded. Out from a steady state condition calculated by a load flow module, the dynamic behaviour is analysed by different faults and changes in state. The greatest importance is attached to machine angles and voltage stability.
