Aim: To give the necessary knowledge of safety aspects contained in the regulations for low voltage electricpower installations and to provide knowledge of materials, structure and design of electrical installations in industrial plants. For an electrical engineer, this course provides the necessary foundations for future recognition as an electrical contractor in Denmark.
Contents: Regulations for low voltage installations are presented from a safety point of view: personal safety, supply systems, cable conditions and protective components, including fuses, earth leak circuit breakers, and automatic circuit breakers. Furthermore, design of industrial installations, giving consideration to mechanical and thermal effects.
