Aim: To provide knowledge of internal combustion engines and calculation methods for design and development of these engines.

Contents: Enginetypes - Otto, Diesel and 4 stroke. Thermodynamic fundamentals of engine processes, simple mathematical models, friction, cooling, fuels, motor control, fuelling systems, Air Exchange, Pressure Charging.
