Aim: To give the basis for evaluation, classification and solution of mechanical stability/vibration problems. Theories of stability and vibration are treated in their entirety. Conservative as well as non-conservative systems should be understood.
|
Contents: For specific mechanical problems the difference between static and dynamic formulations. Classification after Ziegler's system. Non-gyroscopic problems within the conservative class. Gyroscopic problems including rotor dynamics. Dissipative non-conservative problems and the influence of damping. Circulatoric non-conservative problems and aeroelastic examples of fluid/solid interaction. Instationary problems such as pulsating loads and parametric exitations. Computational methods and sensitivity analysis for problems of dynamic stability.
