Aim: To continue the program started in 10201 Quantum Mechanics: To develop methods which are necessary for a quantum mechanical treatment of more complex atomic physics and solid state physics systems.

Contents: Contents: Classical and quantum mechanical description of systems in magnetic fields. Pauli theory for electron spin. Many-body systems: Symmetric and antisymmetric states. Slater determinant, second quantizition. Pertrubation culcalation including WKB approximation theory, symmetry considerations. Density matrices. Density functional theory.
