Department: Department of Physics
Aim: To formulate and analyse dynamic models of concrete physical, biological, physiological or technical systems. To examine the nonlinear dynamic phenomena produced by the model.
Contents: Depend on the interests of the participant. Previous course works have considered pulsatile hormonal dynamics, chaos in aquatic ecosystems, instabilities in digital electronic filters, deterministic simulation of die tossing, stick-slip motion, and bifurcation analysis of coupled map or coupled oscillator systems.
