Department: Department of Physics
Aim: To provide the participants with a knowledge of materials physics, as a basis for understanding the properties of complex materials from an atomistic point of view. Present research topics in materials physics in academia and in industry are introduced.
Contents: The seminars wil be given by faculty and Ph.D. students of the department and by people from industry. The contents will vary with the present research topics of the teachers. Currently, this includes: Nanostructures, growth and patter formation, surface phycics, quantum mechanical models, catalysis and biomaterials.
