Aim: To give the student familiarity with nuclear reactor operation, with a series of measurement methods, and with the safety provisions at nuclear reactors.
Contents: Reactor criticality, measurement of temperature and void coefficients, measurement of gamma spectra and identification of radioisotopes, health physics, measurement of neutron cross sections, measurement of flux distribution in the DR 1, neutron radiography.
