Aim: To give the participants some experience with sketching and drawing of objects and structures according to current practice and standards for rational documentation and communication in the field of civil engineering. To enhance the participants' perception of 3-dimensional objects and their 2-dimensional projections. To give the participants some experience in the use of software for drawing and modelling on work stations. To inform about the problems concerning representation of civil engineering structures when drawing and modelling for computer aided analysis.
Contents: Engineering graphics according to general standards. Projections (multiple view drawings, axonometric drawings etc). Sketching. Computer aided drawing. Use of libraries of symbols. Drawing assembly. Other elements of engineering documentation.
