Aim: The general aim of the teaching is to give the students insight into aspects of construction methods, planning, equipment and engineering economics.
Contents: Specification of possible alternative methods of execution and the requisite equipment for different types of construction work. Calculation and draft of the most common temporary structures and preparation of bills of quantities for these. Programming an entire construction project with estimated or specified figures for the output of equipment and labour. Preparation of cost estimates for an entire project including calculation of tender unit prices, and elaboration of the financing required for the execution of the work.
