Aim: To give the students a general view on the possible technical and physical solutions to the problem of national and global energy supply and the environmental consequences of this.
Contents: The problem of the increasing global energy consumption. Energy ressources and consumption, now and in the past. Exploration, extraction and mining. Coal, oil, natural gas, nuclear energy, hydroelectricity, heat pumps, wind power. Combined heat and power generation. The greenhouse-effect.
