Aim: The course objective is to enable the students
- to understand the function of impuls circuits
- to design and implement impuls circuits from a given set of specifications
- to understand the function and design of power amplifiers
- to understand the function and design of linear regulators and switch mode regulators
|
Contents: The transistor as a switch. Logic circuits (TTL and CMOS).
RC- and RL-impulse circuits with and without amplifiers.
Non-linear use of the operational amplifier.
Schmitt-triggers, multivibrators, timer circuits and multifunction generators.
Power semiconductors: BJT's, Power-FET's, Thyristors, GTO's, IGBT's and Diodes.
