Aim: The aim of the course is to enable the students to
- perform hardware and software installation for a local area network.
- understand administration of a network.
- understand the principles in an local network and how to analyse the trafficin the net.
- program the workstations and the server in the network operating systems.

Contents: Network commands.
Work with administrative program tools
Creation of users, administration of users, supervising the system.
Installation of network interface cards, server, workstations, printers and software.
Analyze of the traffic on the network using a network analyzer tool.
The different types of packets,
TCP/IP and IPX, SPX protocols. Writing applications under Windows 95. Writing applications under the NetWare operating system.
