Aim: To enable the students to apply methods and tools within computer and information technology in order to specify, design, use and maintain control and supervision systems in industrial environments.

Contents: Introduction to C and Unix, program and system development tools, software quality control, introduction to industrial system hardware, real time and concurrent operating systems & programming. Introduction to network-based systems, model-based methods for software and systemware design and real-life industrial automation systems (PLC- og robot architectures).
