Aim: It is the aim of the course to give a knowledge of time discrete adaptive control systems and the programming of these controllers on computer, that enables the practical design and application of adaptive control systems is possible.
|
Contents: Control of objects with partly unknown dynamics, including the description of adaptive model reference control systems and parameter identification. The course deals with the theory of stability of non-linear systems and the importance of a number of practical system attributes, including non-linearities, disturbances and selection of test signals. Differences and similarities between different adaptive control systems are reviewed. During the final part of the course, various special topics in the field of adaptive control are reviewed using journal publications. As a part of the course, the participants program and test the individual algorithms in matlab on microcomputers with the necessary interfaces for controlling different laboratory set-ups.
