Aim: The object of the course is to impart a concrete knowledge to the participants about methods and conditions relating to the work with innovation and product development in the building industry. The aim is to qualify the participants to work with development tasks in the building industry. The civil engineer education is to deal with all the activities of the building industry and follows the development towards more use of industrially produced building products. The course shall thus provide an opportunity for civil engineers to participate in the product development of the building industry and thus give the building products a greater know-how.
|
Contents: The course will treat the following subjects: The development in the field. Methods concerning innovation. Conditions of importance for the product development: demands on products (Danish, European, world-wide), standards, tolerances, standardisation, variants, patenting etc., market conditions and economy. The methods and tools of the product development process and its different stages, including e.g. formulation of problem, idea generation, evaluation of ideas, design, dimensioning, optimisation, testing of performance, approval, production.
The course will treat examples of the process of innovation and product development.
