Aim: To take stock of a specific technical field within the solar energy fiels and to teach the students methods for knowledge building within the field. To practise a working method for the gathering of new information and to process the information with reference to knowledge building. To practise a process that makes the student responsible for his/her own learning.

Contents: The course is only completed in the year 2000, when the international solar energy congress EuroSun 2000 is to be held in Copenhagen during the 3 week period. The students are to participate in the congress and choose a topic to work on. Papers for this topic are to be read and connected with general knowledge within the topic. A short report is to be worked out. The report can be used as an element of an information system from which other students can obtain knowledge within the topic.
