Aim: The purpose of the course is to enable the students to solve engineering problems with a computer using a high level language, methods of computer science and numerical analysis and application programs.
Contents: The basic concepts of the programming language Pascal (array, record, procedure, external file). The principles of program design. The construction and testing of a program, including correction of programming errors. Elementary numerical methods. Elementary real time programming. Use of a window based operating system, spreadsheets and the Internet.
