Aim: To teach the students to analyse and discuss some of the major goals that may concern the physical development of the municipality. And to get to know and learn to use ordinary technical methods and means in physical planning, i.e. the planning legislation and its background and so be able to overlook the actual planning problem in an area.
Contents: The organization, the land-use, and the physical conditions of a municipality are analysed. The possible aims for development in population, business, public service and traffic are sought out. Likewise the planning process and the involved participants. Plans for the future are discussed and their consequences analyzed.
