Aim: The objectives of the course are to provide students with: information on trends in the use of IT in construction in Denmark and abroad, technical knowledge on the application of computers and communications in consultant and contracting firms, and to prepare them for making decisions on the introduction and management of IT systems in business.

Contents: Students are required to have attended the Advanced IT applications for Construction course and will choose this option if they plan to apply their knowledge in the building industry. This course provides information on the needs of companies, illustrated by case studies and visits, and strategies for introducing systems, managing them and measuring their benefits. It will look at the effects of IT on companies and how the industry is changing to take advange of IT.
