Aim: To provide a deeper insight on phase equilibria and transitions in solid state chemistry. Such a fundamental understanding is important for solving technical-chemical problems, e.g. those associated with high temperature transitions of ceramic materials.
|
Contents: Structure and physical properties of solid materials including glasses. Energetics of ionic crystals. Non-stoichiometric compounds. Defect chemistry. Phase diagrams. Chemical reactions and transport processes in solid materials. Preparative methods. Sintering processes. Corrosion.
