Aim: To enable students
a) to analyse movements of complex machines by making and analysing kinematic and dynamic models. b) to propose possible mechanisms for generation of a given movement and to assign system dimensions in order to achieve the required kinematic characteristics. c) to choose between possible alternatives on the basis of relevant properties.
|
Contents: Kinematics laws for movements of inter-connected solid bodies. Mechanism systematics, i.e. principles for categorising mechanisms and proposing possible solutions. Kinematic and dynamic analysis of two-dimentional mechanisms. Different methods of synthesis, with emphasis on kinimatic conditions and graphical methods. Computerised synthesis.
