Aim: Is to introduce the robotics theories, methods, and techniques for the design, control, and programming of robot systems in such way that the students are able to manage industrial applications in robotics and Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Engineering, CIME. Furthermore, the course imparts the students a basic knowledge for further research in the robotic area.
|
Contents: Introduction to robotics and application areas. Spatial descriptions and transformations related to robotic systems. Kinematic notations. Direct and inverse kinematics. Jacobeans for the calculation velocities and static forces. Robot manipulator dynamics. Trajectory planning, and trajectory generation by interpolation. Robot control; classic linear control, multivariable control, and model based control strategies. Introduction to CAD/CAE based programming and simulation of robotic systems. Technical and economical considerations concerning the implementation of robotics system in industry, including safety and environmental aspects. Practical cases on robot systems. An obligatory project task concerning kinetic modelling, programming and simulation of a robot system, is carried out on a computer, and documented in a report.
