Prerequisite: Som knowledge is required about design and/or development of technological systems (products, information systems, parts of production systems etc.) and technological problem solving as well.
Recommended semester: 4th -7th semester
Scope and form: 2 lecture modules per week and laboratory exercises (usually on Wednesday afternoons).
Examination: Oral exam (13-scale)

Aim: The course aims to enable the students to 1) outline the scope and areas of application of work principles in project management 2) plan and organize a project and to contribute to its application 3) explain and understand important issues and relations in project organization and project's surroundings.
Contents: Comparing the projet model of development and planning to traditional way of solving tasks. Project organization, analysis of interested parties, project planning, preparing a master plan and breakdown structure, planning and managing the work of the project group, project economy, project control, roles and function of project manager and project team, international aspect in project management.
