Department: Department of Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering
Aim: To enable the students individually to scantle a ship or another floating structures.
Contents: The students choose in cooperation with the institute a floating structure for scantling. The structure is parted and modelled in several strength elements in consideration of the acting loads and interaction between these elements. For the analysis of strength a number of calculation programs are used.
