Aim: To give an overview of clinical physiological methods of measurement and to present the most common technical equipment that is used for diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, with emphasis on transducers and electronic sytems.

Contents: Blood pressure and flow measurements. Heart diseases, ecg and other examination techniques, intensive care and treatment. Measuring and signal processing equipment for nuclear medical, biochemical, urological and neurophysiological examinations, including electrodes, eeg and evoked response techniques. CT, SPECT, PET and MR-scanning. Medical applications of ultrasound. Noise, safety, and other environmentally derived problems and requirements.
