Aim: To introduce participants to the issues arising from user interfaces of computer systems. To give participants a knowledge of methods and tools for the design of interactive systems.

Contents: Forms of dialog, usability, models of interaction. Specification, design and testing of interactive systems. Principles of graphic communication. Structure and standards for dialog systems, window systems in particular. Examples of applications in industry and society.
