Aim: A general introduction to signal analysis and processing is given. The emphasis is on analysis and processing of stochastic signals with examples from the biomedical world. Modern signal processing software will be used during the course, and a number of exercises will include the processing of biomedical signals.
|
Contents: Signal classification. Spectrum and correlation functions for stochastic signals. Digital filter. Quantization noise. Simple signal norms. Analytic signals. Modulation of digital signals. Matched filter. Spectral estimation. Parametric models. Use of signal processing software. Processing of biomedical signals.
