Aim: The purpose of the course is to teach the students to plan and to participate in cooperation with usergroups (consumergroups, local community groups, work place groups, grassroots).
Contents: The course focuses on the following themes:
1) Presentation and discussion of examples of expert-usergroup cooperation.
2) The preconditions of the usergroup cooperation with experts (motivation, consciousness, experience, knowledge).
3) Different expertroles viewed from the perspective of cooperation with usergroups.
4) How to plan and establish the condition for cooperation with usergroups and possible problems and conflicts in relation to the various stages of the cooperation process.
5) Different methods available for usergroup cooperation: interviews, competence workshops, networking, future creating workshops etc.
6) Evaluation of a selected project in which cooperation between users and experts has been practised.
