Contact person: Jørgen Lyngaae-Jørgensen, Building 423, Tel. +45 4525 2952, email jlj@kt.dtu.dk

Department: Department of Chemical Engineering
Aim: To train:

* Polymerization technique
* Polymer characterization
* Rheological measurements
* Transport properties in membranes
Contents: The course work will encompass one or more of the commonly applied polymerization methods: Bulk-, solution-, suspension- or emulsion polymerzation. The molecular weight distribution or average molecular weights are determined by size exclusion chromatography, viscosimetry and possibly ohter methods. Glass transition temperature and melting temperatures are determined by differential calorimetry and possibly by other methods.
