Remarks: Project work is a substantial part of this course. During the semester there will be a number of mandatory joint meetings, where all project groups present and discuss their work.

Aim: To introduce models, methods and tools for analysis, design, and implementation of information systems in organizations. The course focuses particularly on the interplay between information systems, users, and organizational context.
Contents: Principal process models , such as the waterfall and spiral models. Management of information systems development. Introduction and comparison of different analysis and design methods and tools e.g. structured analysis, object-oriented analysis, prototyping, formal methods, and CASE-tools. The need of user participation and the role of users in systems development. Information systems and organizational change, the interplay between information system and organization, user training and education, power conflicts and political processes. Development and use of interorganizational (networked) information systems.
