Aim: To impart to the students a knowledge of the fundamental principles and physical laws of thermodynamics, so that they can execute calculations of temperature, pressure, work and heat exchange processes and give the students a foundation for further study on this subject.

Contents: Sytems, properties, work and heat exhange processes, vapour and gas cycles, phase changes, thermal conduction, convertion and radiation of heat.
