Aim: After the course the student should understand the computer techniques used in the integration of production systems. The course covers both administrative systems and production control.

Contents: Reading of structured methods to functional analysis and program development. The structure of database systems with emphasis on relational database systems. Structured Query Language (SQL) for querying a database. The database software ORACLE is used for demonstration and compulsory practical exercises. Reading of communication principles, with emphasis on the OSI standard and TCP/IP.
