Aim: Enable the students to calculate reactions and internal actions in statically determinate beam structures and trusses.
|
|
Contents: Basic concepts about forces and moments. Conditions of equilibrium. Reactions. Internal actions (normal force, shear force, torsion, bending moment) in beam structures. Internal forces in trusses. Examples of design of beams and trusses, and bending deformations of beams.
