| Aim: Recent technological development has brought the gas turbine to the forefront as the most important generator of electric power. A number of existing and future power station types are presented in order to present old ideas and introduce novel ideas and demonstrate the usefulness of the more advanced thermodynamic concepts. |
| Contents: The gas turbine as a prime mover. The most recent development in the areas of technology, construction, and process design. Situations in which the gas turbine is expected to play an important role. In-depth study of a power station based on one or more novel ideas with respect to process design (heat recovery, suction air cooling, injection of water for intercooling, etc.) |
