Aim: The purpose of this course is to give the students an understanding of the fundamental concepts in mechanical and thermal physics.
Contents: Kinematics and dynamics of single particles and systems of particles. Linear momentum and force. Newton's laws. Work and energy. Center of mass theorem. Angular momentum. The conservation laws for energy and momentum. Introduction to thermal physics. Internal energy and the first law. Different gaslaws. Entropi.
