Aim: To enable the students to establish the necessary equations for describing a hydraulic flow problem and to solve these equations by means, with which they are confident.
Contents: Pressure on plane and curved surfaces. Stability of floating bodies. Continuity, Energy and Momentum equations. Contraction. Flow through apertures. Dimensional analysis. Model laws. Form resistance. Laminar and turbulent flow. Friction losses. Single losses. Complex pipe systems. Open channel flow. Normal and critical flow. Hydraulic jump. Hydraulic structures. Non-uniform flow.
