Department: Department of Applied Electronics
 |
Aim: - To make the student able to evaluate components and
 materials for the realization of circuits according to applicable
 electrical, thermal, mechanical, environmental and
 production technological requirements.
 - To give an overview of modern interconnection technologies.
 |
Contents: Components (resistors and capacitors).
 Overview of interconnection technologies using printed circuit
 technology as an example:
 Production of printed circuit boards (PCB), PCB materials and print
 layout techniques according to applicable standards as well as
 thermal, mechanical and electrical requirements.
 Interconnection technologies for leaded and SMD chip components;
 soldering and conductive adhesive procedures with emphasis on
 typical problem areas.
 Material science for typical metals and alloys used in the production
 of PCB's, including state diagrams.
 Environmental considerations in the production of PCB's.
