Remarks: Every group will make 3 experimental investigations each of one weeks duration inclusive report writing. The experiments will take place at Department of Biotechnology and Department of Chemical Engineering.

Aim: To extend the students understanding of making solutions of technical or chemical problems by exercises and calculations. The course is of considerable value for further studies at IBT and KT.
|

Contents: The following labs are offered (3 are to be chosen by each student): IBT: 1) Decantation centrifuge, 2) Oil refining 3) Simulation of a production in a fermentor. KT: 1) Vapor-liquid equilibria 2) Simulation of a separation process 3) Viscosity of non-Newtonian liquids 4) Separation in plate column 5) Polymerization of styren in emulsion and suspension 6) Ultrafiltration, 7) Elektrodialysis 8) Production of paint.
