Aim: The aim of the course is to provide the student with thorough knowledge as well as practical skills in those parts of mathematics that are useful in chemical food science and technology and to provide the student with a conceptual understanding of mathematics and with some skills in mathematical reasoning and to enable the student to solve engineering problems with a computer.
Contents: Double integral, line integral and exact differential. Implicit differentiation. Extremum for function of several variables. l'Hospitals rule and Taylor's theorem. Programming concepts in Maple. Principles for program design. Construction and testing of a program.
