The periodic table of the elements with emphasis upon regularities (atomic radius, ionic radius, ionization energy, electron affinity and electronegativity). The molecular geometry of molecules and ions (VSEPR), chemical bonding (ionic bonding, covalent bonding and Lewis structures). Coordination compounds and basic crystal field theory. Chemistry of acids and bases. Solubility and electrochemistry.
