Aim: To give an introductory practical course, which demonstrates the connection between theory and practice in environmental engineering.
Contents: The initial part of the course comprises excercises in relevant analytical techniques and calculations on relevant problems. The course is focused on a specific environmental problem. Each group of 3 - 4 has their own subproject. The work comprises planning investigations, doing them, analysing the samples, handling the data and presenting results and recommendations oraly, on the Web and in report form.
