Aim: To give a broad introduction to the subjects relevant to the exploration for and development of oil and gas resources. To give the student some knowledge and basic skills within petroleum technology, and prepare the students for the choice of their field of interest within these subjects.

Contents: Petroleum geology, exploration, geophysics, logs, drilling, reservoir engineering, PVT data, top side installations.
