Remarks: Core Science Elements in chemistry (5 points) and physics (5 points). The courses 21000, 21002 and 21061 are essentially included in the course. The course 21002 contributes 30% to the total evaluation of 21001 and 21002 for chemistry students following the preliminary courses. Students with a B-level in chemistry will benefit from following the supplementary course 21003.

Aim: To provide knowledge of the basic chemical principles and give proficiency in theoretical and practical understanding of inorganic compound chemistry including description of forms of energy and their interaction with chemical compounds.

Contents: The periodic table, chemical bonding and structure. Reaction kinetics, inorganic compounds and processes, states of matter. Qualitative analysis of inorganic compounds.
