Contents: The course overviews in a tutorial fashion established and frontier elements in the theory of electron and atom group transfer in chemistry and biology. Specific issues are chosen from; the tunnel effect in physical, chemical, and biological systems; the fluctuating dielectric medium; electron transfer in solids; the simplest chemical process - electron transfer; optical charge transfer; proton and atom group transfer; the electrochemical process; long-range electron transfer; stochastic chemical rate theory; electron transfer in organized protein (photosynthesis) and nucleic acid systems; new systems and phenomena (chemical nanostructure, STM and AFM, charge transport and phase transitions.....).
