Department: Informatics and Mathematical Modelling
Aim: To learn and understand dynamical phenomena and their variations in parameter dependent systems, to inform the participants about recent applications of non-linear dynamics for solving problems in the engineering science, and to present an opportunity for independent work.
Contents: The emphasis is on parameter dependent changes in the dynamics of non-linear systems (bifurcations), characterisation of the changes (stationary, periodic, quasi-periodic, chaotic motion), continuous bifurcations and catastrophes. Analytic and numerical methods for investigation hereof.
