Aim: The idea of this course is to discuss various methods and models in applied statistics. The aim of the course is to provide the participants with an overview either over a specific class of statistical methods or models or over statistical methods or models used in solving problems in a specific applicatin area.
|
Contents: The specific content may vary from year to year. Examples of topics could be: Statistical models in biostatistics, calibration problems, statistical analysis of questionnaires, counting processes, reliability theory, generalized linear mixed models etc. It is, however, emphasized that the course will not address fundamental concepts and theories in mathematical statistics at anvanced level.
