Kurset udbydes i samarbejde med Institut for Konstruktions- og Styreteknik og Mikroelektronikcenteret

URL: http://www.ipt.dtu.dk/itd
Department: Institut for Procesteknik
Aim: To give the participants a competence in leading and participating in crossdisciplinary project work. To give insight into areas Industrial Design and Economy/marketing and their coherence with engineering work. Course 80403 is a continuation of course 80402 and the industrial project work. For selected areas concepts will be generated both for the business creation, the industrial and engineering product design, and for the production and lifecycle. The courses 80402 and 80403 imply an interest and experience (e.g. from previous courses) in development work. The courses form a whole together
with a final year project, and the courses are therefore reserved to
students on their 9th semester, who immediately after can continue with
their final year project within the topic. In the spring semester joint
supervison is offered during the final year project together with the other
two institutions.
Contents: The course is taught in collaboration with students for Danmarks Designskole and Copenhagen Business School and is physically placed at Danmarks Designskole. Based on the working areas that were identified in course 80402 the industrial collaboration is continued and there will be developed alternative concepts on business and product level. This includes concepts for strategy and business development, product concepts and concepts for produktion and lifecycle. In the end of the course each team will produce a report and present their results at a presentation where the company also can participate. The results from the course should have a quality so they can form the basis for a detailed development in a succeeding final year project.
