Department: Department of Information Technology
Aim: To introduce the student to relatively advanced circuit theory. The theory is illustated by application to elementary filter synthesis.
Contents: Systematic calculation of system functions for linear electrical systems, inspection of circuit diagrams; group delay, integral relations, Tellegen's theorem; reciprocal adjoint, and dual networks; classical filterapproximations; synthesis of system functions by cascading active biquads; biquads' sensitivity to manufacturing tolerances of the components; implementations on base of OpAmps and transconductance amplifiers.
