Department: Department of Chemical Engineering
Aim: To familiarize participants with synthesis, design and operation of distillation and extraction processes and the use of computer aided methods for analysis of such processes.
Contents: Design of separation processes, in particular multicomponent distillation absorption, and extraction. Analysis of separation processes, with particular emphasis on development and application of numerical, computer aided methods. Modelling of separation processes, calculation of energy consumptions and selection/design of solvents.
